Kage trotted in the forest, on the edge of his territory and one that had not been taken yet. The summer sun was shining through the tree leaves, making splotches of light on the forest floor. He sighed as he slowed his trot and sat down in a patch of ferns coming up to his stomach. If he crouched down low enough, he might even be hidden. He smiled at the idea, but instead laid down on his side, feeling a spot of sunlight on his side. [/color]

Some times all you have to do is believe, but what's left to believe in when all you've ever known has been torn to shreds? If you could walk one mile in this canis-lupus corpse, you'd know this hell hole isn't all its cracked up to be. Some say there is a fine line between love and hate, I say different; the line is thick and uneasily crossed. Try, my friend, try.
Talith was filled with dread as boney stilts of achromic dye traversed her carcass o'er the rocky tillage. At first take the planet had been covered in the pleasant blanket of darkest-night but upon further examination and a fluttering awakening of her vert occuli it became quite clear that it was truely high-noon. Carbon polluted the atmosphere as the bellatine's labros part to allow pointless muttering to mix with the wind. Nothing seemed to matter anymore.

Kage scented the air with curiosity. A fae was in the area. He rolled over and stood, stretching out his muscles a bit before following the scent. He hadn't met a wolf yet and was happy one was nearby. He howled a short note, letting the fem know he was near and coming in her direction. [/blockquote]

Cranium held high in the air, twin peaks swiveling atop her crown, trying to capture the sounds of this new realm. Somewhere in the distance and owl screeched out its noon-time feasting call. An innocent simper crawled o’er the bellatine’s facials; today was the day. The day for what, ask you? I guess she could tell you, but I doubt she will. Stilts dragged her achromic bulk from the deep abyss allowing the sunlight to beat down on her. The days where growing longer and longer with each passing hour. It was near spring now; the weather was brisk yet warm. Her exhalation could no longer be seen in the stillness of the air. Anguish flooded her soul as the dreampan raced on with memories of melodramatic yesteryear occurrences.
Too soon, though, she was shaken from the reveries by the sounds of bickering squirrels in the oaky treetops. Labros parted in an exasperated yawn. A throaty snarl rose from her depths, her good mood was broken now. Oh well, it always was eventually. Then, harks caught the sound of something much more welcomed. Another canid, nearby. Oh joy... not really.

Kage trotted his way towards the female in a gracious gate. He seemed to float over the ground as his paws were hidden in the brush and he barely moved up and down as the usual trot. He suddenly caught sight of the fem and slowed his trot to a walk, his ears pricked forward.
Birds sang and squirrels chattered in the overhead trees as he approached her. He stopped several feet away, being curteous and making sure he didn't invade her space. "Hello, my name is Kage. May I ask what yours is?" he asked her with a smile. He was always polite to females, but other males it usually depended on how they acted towards him.
Kage's right ear flickered, escaping a horse fly that hurt exceptionally whenever they bit. [/blockquote]

Aye, horseflies where quite pesky. Lamps scanned the vagabond quickly, judging him immdetiatly. This should be amusing, she thought with a smirk.
If she made to quick an advancement, the hit would be fatal. It was funny, the thought of death. Well, no, she takes that back. Not really the thought of death, as much as just the shock and strange numbness that followed others’ death. As she got closer, she could see that he was much, much bigger than he at first seemed. In fact, he was a towering giant. “Lo, m'lord,” she responded, peering at the masculine whom stood not too far away. “I am known as Talith,” her response was simple. Bare of emotions.
When do we stop this insane battle of love and hate, and who really knows when we’ll finally fulfill our meanings. Some say she is very pessimistic…she’d like to think of it as cautious, distrustful, realistic, and very observant. Now tell me, tell me. Do you think it’s possible to ever forget the past? This b.itch doesn’t really think it is. It haunts you like a nightmare, clawing at you with vicious strength. Memories drag us down, holding us back from the happiness that is just out of our reach. How long can we live like this?

Kage nodded his head and smiled kindly towards Talith. "It is a pleasure to meet you," he said and bowed his head a bit. He may have been Alpha Male, but he was polite, even though he could sense the lack of emotion in the fem.
He gazed at Talith with his blue/gray eyes. No emotion showed in them, as usual. He realized he was much taller than the female who stood before him. He gave her a small smile, wondering if she would talk.
"I hope I am not intruding, but may I ask why it is you're here? Not many travel through this territory, not even bachelors," he asked and stated. He had kept tabs on wolves roaming around his land, which of course was none. [/blockquote]

Sigh passed kissers as skull drifted from one side to the next. Her plummage dancing with death as it wrapped around her hinds, annoyingly. One hind talon striking backwards to rid her of the pesky blood suckers that tried to feast on bodice. Dial shook slightly, thorns plastered to her cranium. The aroma of the other swept limply through, her nare dilating as she inhaled the scent of this male. Occuli scanned the scene while his lyrics broke the silence that she created. "I suspect I come here for the same reason as you, yourself, Kage..." she paused to think of what she might say next. "To find a place to call home, a place where, for once, someone might accepted you," her verbs where soft and few, yet powerful. She seemed to give thought to what melodies would follow, but instead, her jaw pulled taut as she stood before him.

Kage stood motionless for a time, stumped this female knew more about him than he himself had expected. It took him a moment to register, but he finally smiled. "Well, then Talith, I guess you could call this home now. That is, if you do want to stay," he told her with a smile. He wanted her to stay of course, but he wasn't going to make her.
He replayed the fem's reply in his mind, listening to her voice in his head. This female was unlike any that he had met previously and was happy. His jaws snapped loudly as he reached back on his side to snap at another fly. It had bitten him, gotten through his thick fur and bit the skin. It stung with a burning sensation, but he ignored it as he turned his gaze back on the female. [/blockquote]

ooc;; glah. my muse is running low; therefore, the post is crappy. Sorry. x[
She was distracted, indeed, by the unique voice. He was a gentleman, one whom held a high probability of using her in the near future. She cared not; all dukes were the same. She would simply take the pain they provided, for it came whether she wanted it or not. Though, this does not stop Talith from seeking revenge on the enemy. Her viper made a delicate turn, toward the lord, pinions stopped it's violent scraping at mother nature. A gentle and careless grin was given, she would not refuse; he had good taste in paramours.
"Why, t'would be reasonable I suppose," she began, "though this loam is rather small and there is no extravagant scenery," the sarcastic tunes echoed forth as though she had known he was going to say this all along. Completing her speech, the minx spun her canvass around slowly, traversing off toward the creek. Her attitude was neutral right now, for she did not know what to expect from her opponent. No emotions were shown upon her facade, for she had none for him. Soon enough, he would show himself to her and she would know.

OOC:: No, it's actually really good ^^ Lots better than my posts. Kage was surprised to see the fem smile, even though he had known her for only minutes, perhaps even seconds. He smiled towards Talith as he heard the sarcasm escape her muzzle. He watched as she walked off, and followed. He loped his way over the ferns and underbrush, making his way towards her side. He walked along in stride with her, a light smile on his face.
"I'm glad to hear that you will stay," he replied, but then, for the first time in a year or so, his eyes showed micheif. "And if these lands are not fit, then I am deeply sorry. Although there is a lot more than what appears," he replied with sarcasm and mystery. He couldn't remember the last time he felt like he could put his guard down and rest. [/blockquote]
